We’re disappointed, but as the pandemic continues to unfold, there appears to be little likelihood that we could host a successful event this June. The uncertainties—medical, governmental, economic, and human—are simply too great.
We do hope to run a Heads Retreat in the summer of 2022. And beyond our immediate efforts to support schools, we are developing other types of more in-depth virtual programming for Heads, some for launch perhaps as early as this summer. Once we have concrete offerings ready, you’ll be the first to know.

Gather and Connect Next Summer in Asheville, NC

There are only a handful of people who share the same cares and responsibilities as you. Next summer, join this extraordinary group of peers at an intimate, collegial gathering just for TABS Heads.

Set over three days and two nights in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina, the schedule will be purposefully balanced with time for work and reflection.

What you can expect

Should you desire to join, a Wine & cheese Welcome will await at the magnificent Biltmore Estate, your personal getaway for this protected time of introspection, expansion and connection.

Each day will feature mid-morning and after-lunch programs with honored speakers and facilitated conversations. Participation will be limited to 20 heads to ensure a relaxed and stimulating environment.

Afternoons will be reserved for leisure with your peers and partner or spouse. You’ll have organized outings to choose from and numerous attractions available to you in the arts, outdoors, and culinary and craft beer scenes of Asheville – recently named the Best Food City in America

In the evenings, we’ll enjoy hosted dinners together to share our discoveries and continue our conversations.

Saturday will feature a morning program and an optional nature hike. We’ll then send you off refreshed, enlivened and newly connected to the exceptional group of peers whose hearts, lives and missions, like yours, are uniquely devoted to the advancement of our boarding school community.

Time to Reflect or Find Adventure

Enjoy hiking to local waterfalls, antiquing, golfing, touring the world-renowned Biltmore House and Winery, hitting the spa, or visiting local galleries like Lexington Glassworks, where artists demonstrate live glassblowing alongside a taproom with regional craft beer.
